Rising of the Nephilim conts.

Tuesday Tales Word Prompt "heart"    listen to the song I have included for your overall enjoyment

It had been several days since the meeting in the woods had taken place. Sabrina was able to calm things down between Carmine and Ishmael. Giving them the security in knowing that she was ready to take her position in the war against the Angels. Henry had hoped that he and Sabrina would be able to be alone together before the chaos of war broke out.....

"Henry?" Sabrina called out while walking on 8th Avenue.  She had noticed him down the block as she was headed towards Birdland.  That was one of her favorite jazz clubs in New York.  She always went on Wednesday's to enjoy the smooth sounds of The Louis Armstrong Centennial Band.  One of the things she loved to do while in Manhattan.

Henry had stopped and turned around quickly to the sound of Sabrina serenading his name. It was still strange  how he could only feel her pressence when she allowed. Nephilim's were usually able to sense each other.  She had become amazingly talented in her guise only allowing who she chose to see or feel her. Now that he was facing in her direction it wasn't hard for him to see her approaching.  Even with her skill Sabrina's vanity didn't let her show herself as average. But at least they could only see her as a human and nothing more.

With a slight jog and a big smile on her face she caught up to Henry and jumped into his arms embracing him passionately.  He was still not use to her public display of affection. In all his years he had never been with a woman that was so opened when it came to expressing how she felt. He was always with the more reserved personalities that were easily guided around. Sabrina was a spit-fire and untamed especially in the art of relationships. It made his heart skip a beat knowing that her youth contributed to her spontaneity.

"Oh Henry, what are you doing here?" Sabrina was so excited. She had thought that Henry would reach out to her but he didn't and she was a bit disappointed at first but knew that with Ishmael lurking around Henry it would be hard for him to get any free time.

"I am actually on my way to Birdland.  I wanted to here a new Jazz artist and see if she will sign on with us. How about you? Where are you heading?" Henry's english accent always made Sabrina melt.

"Amazingly, Birdland!" she laughed at the coincidence.

"Well then, let's be on our way, it's almost 5:30 and I want to get a good seat." Henry took the lead and put his arm around Sabrina bringing her in closer to him. They continued walking towards the club knowing that a night of great music and the promise of love was just ahead.

Happy Valentine's Day!

  2. He's not alone, most males are intimidated by strong females. And at his age it is extremely hard to change mindset but Sabrina is very hard to resist. Thanks for reading Sherry.

  9. Sabrina is turning into a super great character with so many facets to her. While I was reading the scene I had to listen to Louis at the same time. The combination really made it for me
