A passage to Forever

This weeks Tuesday Tales is prompted by the picture provided and using only 300 words or less. I hope you enjoy.

She didn't notice him watching her as he stood a distance before the archway.  He just wanted to take a moment so he could remember this scene of her beauty surrounded by nature.  He swallowed the lump in his throat and took a breath in.  He was nervous and over joyed with what he was about to do.

It had been a year ago today when they first met.  They were both riding their bikes.  She was heading south and he was heading north. The curve were the archway was blinded them from seeing each other and caused them to collided.  Luckily no one was really hurt, but as they struck each other it was as if fate had caused them to bang right into each others heart.

They had spent every day with each other since then.  He smiled at the memory of the first time they made love and his heart skipped a beat. There was a slight breeze and a hint of her perfume past him.  The sweet smell of black berry and vanilla tantalizing him to his core.

She looked at her watch, then in his direction and caught sight of him.  Her smile radiated brighter than the sun and she waved at him.  He began to walk again in her direction knowing as he walked through the archway he was walking through a passage to forever into the arms of his one true love.

  1. Very nice Tai. I liked how they met at the arch.

  2. OMG, Tai! You gave me chills and gooseflesh when I read this. How beautifully you've expressed his feelings. And your writing, her smile radiated brighter than the sun, brilliant! This is a beautifully-written piece. Are you going to take their relationship somewhere? I already love their story.

  3. "He was nervous and over joyed with what he was about to do."
What a clever bit of misdirection. I'm glad you ended on a high.

  4. Love this tale, Tai. I love reading sweet tales about true love. Please tell us more.

  5. I'm glad you all enjoyed. Perhaps one day I will finish it and the world will know the beginning and the end. Thank you for reading my work. I do appreciate you and your feedback.
