Rising of the Nephilim.......conts.

This weeks Tuesday Tales word prompt is Package. Please leave a comment or critique. I love and need the feedback. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy.

Sabrina was watching from a distance the inauguration of the newest President of the United States.  All had gone as Ishmael planned.  She new it was only a matter of time before there was going to be another war. A war that this world could not possibly fathom.  A war that would reveal the Nephilim.

   ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Junior?" Katriana was calling out from the garden.  There was the sound of nervousness in her voice as she sat up from the picnic blanket that they had been lounging on.  She had closed her eyes in meditation and didn't realize that Junior had disappeared.

Katriana started to get up looking around as far as her eyes could see through the flowers and over the bushes.  Where had Junior gone.  She knew he was very stealth, but to not even feel him move from her side was simply amazing. He knew she couldn't sleep so why not tell her.  She began to panic. Something must be wrong.

She began walking back through the garden onto the trail that led to the cottage.  They had just purchased the cottage on the outskirts of Talsi, Latvia.  She had loved that town ever since she was a child. The village still had cobblestone roads and the landscape was breathtaking.  It was boarding the sea and also had many inland qualities. The towns people were very friendly. And she loved going for rides in air-balloons which was a main attraction for tourist.  Junior, wanted a safe haven for them where no one would pry in their lives and they were secluded from the paparazzi that seem to follow him. But, where was he now.

She called out again to him as she was reaching the end of the trail nearing the house.  There was a Kaive oak fence that had been built around the cottage in the mid-1960's after a storm had uprooted several trees in the area.  She loved the story the real estate agent had told them. As she approached the gateway she noticed a package.  There was a note on it with her name on the envelope.

Dearest Katriana,

I hope you weren't worried.  I was planning on surprising you. Please open box and then come inside. I'll be waiting in the bedroom.

All my love and more,

Junior

She quickly started ripping at the brown paper and opened up the box which was filled with rose petals of all colors.  Within the rose petals was a black cube with a gold latch.  She unhooked the latch and opened up the cube to reveal the most gorgeous diamond ring she had ever seen.  It was a cigar-band ring style, in the center was a huge heart-shaped-black-diamond and the band surrounding was embellished with white diamonds.  She noticed an inscription in Latvian on the inner band ""Nekad es atstāt tevi, nekad es neatstāšu tevi."  Which means: "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."

Dropping the packaging on the ground she put on the ring. If she had a beating heart it would have exploded from her excitement.  She ran into the cottage to meet her eternal love and accept his proposal.

    1. Junior is a nickname. He just so happens to be immortal. Sabrina is my main character. She is the only female Nephilim and the strongest of Nephilim to boot. In my archives are stories of her. She is forever telling me things to write about. Thank you for reading I hope you keep coming back for more.

  6. Why does her love give her the ring when he's not around? A proposal is an intimate thing, I would imagine one would want to do in person. It must reveal something about the characters. I love how you link a video to your writing, it's a good mood setter.

    1. They were already eternally commited to each other but I guess he wanted to seal it with a ring, in his non-traditional way. Thanks for noticing the video link I was starting to wonder if anyone realized what I was doing. You ROCK!
